Manabasa Gurubar is celebrated in every houses of Mangalajodi

Manabasa Gurubara (Mahalaxmi Brata) in the month of Margashira is celebrated in every houses of Mangalajodi. It is held on every Thursday of the month of Margashira and celebrated all over in Odisha. Goddess Mahalaxmi is the presiding deity of this puja. It is believed by the people that the Goddess herself comes to every household and removes pain and sorrow.
